ATTENTION MAX PURPLE & ROUTE 1 RIDERS: The 17 Ave SE Transitway will be closed between 9 Ave SE Station and 33 St SE Station starting Thurs, Sept. 17 until start of service on Weds, Sept. 23. Detour stops will be in effect for MAX Purple and Route 1 at 9 Ave SE, 26 St SE, and westbound 33 St SE stations.

Some bus stop signs in the Saddletowne, Northeast and North Central areas have not yet been updated following our fall service changes, which began on August 31. What’s happening:
The 17 Avenue SE Transitway will be closed between 9 Avenue SE and 33 Street SE Stations, from the start of service on Thursday, September 17 until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23.

This means 9 Avenue SE Station (both directions), 26 Street SE Station (both directions), and 33 Street SE Station (westbound only) will be impacted during this time, in order to allow for utility repair work to be carried out safely.

Buses will detour along 17 Ave SE via 19 St SE, and use detour stops along 9 Ave SE and 17 Ave SE for MAX Purple and Route 1 bus service between 9 Avenue SE and 33 Street SE Stations.
