Caution | 17 Avenue SE BRT Transitway Closure, Sept 17-23, 2026

ATTENTION MAX PURPLE & ROUTE 1 RIDERS: The 17 Ave SE Transitway will be closed between 9 Ave SE Station and 33 St SE Station starting Thurs, Sept. 17 until start of service on Weds, Sept. 23. Detour stops will be in effect for MAX Purple and Route 1 at 9 Ave SE, 26 St SE, and westbound 33 St SE stations.

Information | Attention: Bus Stop Signs

Some bus stop signs in the Saddletowne, Northeast and North Central areas have not yet been updated following our fall service changes, which began on August 31. Please use our Trip Planner or the Transit app to plan your trip – both will provide up-to-date locations of all the stops on your route. We are working to update the remaining bus stop signs as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience.

Changes to Park and Ride lots on the way

Beginning October 1, 2026, some free parking stalls at the following Park and Ride locations will convert to Reserved Parking.​​

  • Brentwood (75 spots representing about nine per cent of current free parking inventory)

  • Dalhousie (78 spots or 12 per cent)

  • Tuscany – North (12 spots or nine per cent) & South (78 spots or four per cent)

  • Somerset-Bridlewood (85 spots or 16 per cent)

To prepare for this change, affected stalls will temporarily close during September 2026 for sign installation.

Free parking stalls will continue to be available at these and all our other Park and Ride locations, subject to availability. We’re making these changes to help manage parking demand and provide a guaranteed parking option for customers who rely on a parking stall for their weekday morning commute. 

If you use these locations, consider:

  • Coming early (especially on weekdays)

  • Using transit service in your area

  • Reserving a parking stall

  • Looking at using a different Park and Ride location that may be less busy
