New temporary off-leash area in Harvest Hills open

Off leash area

There’s a new public off-leash area in north central Calgary for residents and their dogs to enjoy.

We’ve put up a temporary off-leash area at 96 Avenue NE and Harvest Hills Boulevard, on five acres of City-owned land reserved for Green Line LRT. The temporary Harvest Hills Off-Leash Area features perimeter fencing and a garbage receptacle.

The site is future home of housing, commercial, and Green Line light rail transit infrastructure. We expect the temporary Harvest Hills Off-Leash Area will remain on this site until portions of the site are developed in the near future. After that development, a smaller off-leash area will remain on a portion of the site until it is needed for Green Line.

The temporary Harvest Hills Off-Leash Area is adjacent to the Harvest Hills Alliance Church (10099 Harvest Hills Blvd NW) and is accessible from Country Hills Rd NW or Harvest Hills Blvd N.

Please follow off-leash area rules at this and all other off-leash area locations. For more information visit calgarytransit.com/harvesthillsoffleash.
