Free Transit this Saturday, May 14

      transit-bus

This Saturday, May 14, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., all transit throughout the city will be free, courtesy of the Dashmesh Culture Centre (DCC) in celebration of the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan parade.

This unique opportunity to ride free on Transit is paid for by the DCC to provide a safe way for families and individuals to take transit to attend this community event. The DCC encourages all Calgarians to attend, not just those in the Calgary Sikh community or located in the NE Quadrant.

Nagar Kirtan is the second largest annual parade in Alberta, attracting attendees from all areas of the city. It will begin at 10 a.m. at the Dashmesh Culture Centre and end at Prairie Winds Park.

      How to get there:

Along with free transit throughout the city, the DCC has arranged for charter bus routes to get you to and from the parade. Take a look below for the route that works for you.
