The bus loop at Somerset-Bridlewood Station opens on Monday, June 27, 2016. It features a heated passenger shelter, regular shelters and benches.
Starting on June 27, bus stops 153, 402, 406, 14E and 52E on Shawville Gate will be closed and the stops will move to the bus loop. This will provide closer and more convenient access to the CTrain station. Additionally, it improves safety for customers as they no longer need to cross Shawville Gate – a four-lane roadway – to reach the station.
The new bus loop will also allow us to accommodate future bus routes that will be implemented in the next few years to service new communities south of Highway 22X.
New parking spaces were added to the station to offset the spaces that were displaced by the bus loop. There are no major changes to the current areas designated for reserved parking.
