Fish Creek-Lacombe station was closed over last weekend (August 17-18) while we completed work on the platform surface to eliminate tripping hazards and extend the life of the platform.
The closure allowed us to complete the first phase of a two-phase project, with a second maintenance closure scheduled for the September long weekend (August 21 to September 2).
In the first phase we chipped and cut out concrete sections of the platform that were in poor condition and posed tripping hazards. The concrete was patched and repaired, and is now ready for the second phase.
Over the September long weekend we’ll coat the platform with a new surface that has a sandpaper-like texture, which is slip-resistant and extends the life of the platform.
Thank you for your patience during CTrain maintenance closures as we work to keep our infrastructure in good condition. You can stay informed about upcoming closures by checking the Service Updates on our website or app.
