As part of the 7 Avenue LRT Refurbishment Project, the 6th Street S.W. Station will be closed on Monday, April 7, 2008. 

The existing station will be prepared for demolition scheduled to begin mid-April.

Construction of the new station is anticipated to begin mid-May and will be complete by spring 2009.

There will be no disruption of downtown LRT services due to this work, however, trains will not stop at the current 6 Street S.W. station until construction of the new four-car platform is complete.

Transit users are asked to plan their trips accordingly using the 8th Street S.W. Station as an alternative.
