Inner City Bus Service Review
In February 2010, Calgary Transit asked customers, Community Associations and other stakeholders for feedback on proposed changes to several bus routes that serve in the Inner City. The changes proposed focused on bus routes that:
- Provided a duplication of service.
- Are carrying less than the required minimum ridership during all or some operating time periods.
- Have routings with diversions, which result in slow or indirect travel.
We carefully reviewed all the feedback received from three open houses and via the Calgary Transit Call Centre. Many of the suggestions received have been incorporated into the final plan. Every effort was made to maintain transit service access, maintain or increase choice of destinations, simplify routings and maintain transit service times.
Route changes will be implemented Monday, June 28, 2010
