CUTA Corporate Recognition Award (2004) - Calgary Transit has been selected as a recipient in the category of Exceptional Performance/Outstanding Achievement.
 
Stamp of Approval (2004 March) - Canada Post made an official presentation to Calgary Transit Director John Hubbell commemorating Canadian urban rail transit.
 
ISO 14001 recognizes CT (2004) - Calgary Transit is proud to be the first transit system in North America to have all of its activities registered to the ISO 14001 Standard ISO 14001 Registered
 
Federation of Canadian Municipalities CH2M HILL Sustainable Community Award (2001) - The "Ride the Wind" initiative will position Calgary as the first city in North America to power its transit system with 100 per cent emissions-free wind-generated electricity.
 
Pollution Prevention Award (2001) - Calgary Transit was the recipient in the innovations category. The award is presented by the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment. The CTrain is now 100 percent emissions free. It is the first public Light Rail Transit system in North America to power its train fleet with wind-generated electricity.
