Scotiabank Marathon Service Disruption -- Sunday May 30, 2010
Effective start of service until approximately 2:00pm.
On Sunday May 30, the HSBC Calgary Marathon will take place using main Calgary streets and roads throughout the north part of the City. The following bus routes may have unplanned delays for short periods of time or use minor detours to maintain service as they allow the safe passage of race participants. This may result in delays in service and missed or changed bus stops at various points along the marathon route. Transit customers that want to ensure timely arrival at work or other appointments may wish to leave a little earlier than normal.
Due to the nature of the event, specific times when detours and service delays may occur can not be predicted. We regret any inconvenience this may cause customers, and ask for your patience and support as we try to maintain regular service levels.
The following routes are expected to be on detour due to the marathon:
9, 10, 17, 20, 305 (Route 9 will be affected the most in the Bridgeland area.)
The following routes may have a delays in service:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 13, 22, 24, 37, 40, 43, 72, 73, 91, 122, 137, 143, 403, 408, 414 and 419.
