School Service

Children aged six (6) and over ride on regular Access Calgary services. The school boards must request the transportation service and provide the trip details.

Children attending private schools who require service must go through an eligibility interview to assess their needs. The bookings must be arranged by their parents or guardians. Access Calgary may require that passengers travel with an adult.

Calgary Handi-Bus provides transportation services for pre-school children. Please contact 276-8028.

Access Calgary does not provide field trips for schools or other organizations (e.g. swim programs, zoo outings, etc.). Customers have to make their own travel arrangements. For these types of trips, charters are available from Calgary Handi-Bus, Calgary Transit, Checker Transportation Group, Associated Cab, Southland Transportation, Cardinal Bus Lines, and other transportation companies. Costs and conditions vary and are the responsibility of the person who books the charter.
