Statutory Holidays

Though open 365 days a year, Access Calgary booking line is closed on statutory holidays. If you require trips on or the day following a statutory holiday, you must request them prior to the holiday.


Holiday Trip Requests

Access Calgary automatically cancels all Subscription Trips (excluding trips for dialysis treatment) on the holidays listed below.

  • New Year's Day
  • Family Day
  • Good Friday
  • Easter Sunday
  • Easter Monday
  • Victoria Day
  • Canada Day
  • August Civic Holiday
  • Labour Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Remembrance Day
  • Christmas Day
  • Boxing Day
  • If you require your regular trip on any of those days, it is your responsibility to call the Trip Request line at 537-7777.

    Trip requests for those days will be accepted up to four (4) days in advance.

    If you need to cancel your trip, please call at least two (2) hours prior to your scheduled time of travel.


    What Should I Do When My Trip is Late?

    Remember, Access Calgary’s Time Window Policy means that your trip may be up to five (5) minutes before or fifteen (15) minutes after the requested pick-up time. If your trip is more than fifteen (15) minutes late, call 537-7777 and select the Late Trip Inquiry line option.

    • Carry needed medication with you in case we are delayed for any length of time

    • If you are a diabetic or hypoglycemic please bring a small snack with you in case you travel longer than expected
