Diana Brent teaches people with disabilities in the assistive technology field and over the years served as a volunteer on many boards, committees, councils and associations - all serving persons with disabilities. Diana is the recipient of such prestigious awards as: Calgary Woman of the Year, Council of Canadian with Disabilities, Centennial Medal from the Alberta Human Rights and Multiculturalism – again, all for her work in the disability community. Diana is an Access Calgary customer.
Jim Brown is a chartered accountant and retired financial executive presenting serving (for the past 17 years) as a director of the Calgary HandiBus Association. Jim has coached wheelchair hockey and is involved in several local charitable organizations.
Brad Davis has gained senior management experience with marketing, international business, and communications with a broad range of corporations and government. He is an associate with The Viscount Group Calgary. He is an advisor to the board Alberta Safety Council and CARP Calgary. His interest is in the impact of aging boomers, and has volunteer experience with seniors, healthcare and several business associations.
Mark Flores is the Manager of Business Development for Talk It Up Technologies Inc. and is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Provincial Arts, specializing in Human Services. Mark is an Access Calgary customer.
Wayne Gordanier is a geologist who volunteers on various associations and boards such as: the United Church, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (Calgary Chapter) and the Access Awareness Association of Calgary. Wayne is an Access Calgary customer.
Stephen Hansen currently holds the role of Calgary Transit Safety and Security Manager. Prior to that, Stephen worked many years in the field of providing transportation services for people with disabilities.
Barry Lindemann holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is an untiring advocate for persons with disabilities. Barry particularly enjoys educating the community about spinal cord injury and breaking down stereotypes associated with people with disabilities. Barry is an Access Calgary customer.
Dianne Radu has a degree in Business Administration and worked many years in senior administrative and management positions in the manufacturing environment, both at home and overseas. Dianne is an Access Calgary customer.
Karim Rayani is currently the Manager of Access of Calgary. Karim has worked many years in the transportation field and has a strong interest in the field of public transportation for persons with disabilities.
Uma Thakor holds a Bachelor Degree in Social Work has held various positions with the Provincial government for the past 25 years and presently holds the role of Operational Manager for CRCB Persons with Developmental Disabilities.
D’Arcy Walsh has many years of business experience and holds a Masters of Social Work specializing in counselling. He has facilitated therapy and education groups for the Calgary Association of Self Help, Sheriff King Women’s Centre and Calgary Counselling Services. D’Arcy is an Access Calgary customer.
