ACROBAT
(Access Calgary Automated Telephone System)

ACROBAT is our automated telephone system. You can use ACROBAT to confirm and cancel all trip requests up to seven (7) days advance.

You need a touch-tone telephone to use ACROBAT. Listen to the recording and it will guide you through the system

To use ACROBAT:

  1. Call Access Calgary at 537-7777 (24hours a day).

  2. Press #1 to reach the Cancellation line.

  3. Press #1 again to access the ACROBAT system.

You will be asked for:

Your Registration Number

Your 4-digit password. Your password is the month and day of your birthday (e.g. If your birthday is on July 12, your password is 0712).

  1. Choose from the menu:

    Press #1 to confirm or cancel a trip

    Press #2 to make or change a reservation or to speak with someone concerning service problems

    Press #3 to change the volume or speed of the recorded information

    Press #4 for other Access Calgary information

    Press #5 for help with the automated system

    If you need help, press #0 and your call will be transferred to a service representative


How Do I Confirm a Trip Request?

To confirm your trip times or to verify your trip has been accommodated:

  1. Call Access Calgary at 537-7777 and press the appropriate # for ACROBAT.
  2. You will be asked for your registration number and your four (4) digit password. Use your telephone keypad to enter these numbers.
  3. At the prompt, press #1 to confirm your trip.
  4. If you need help, press #0 and your call will be transferred to Dispatch.

You may also call 537-7777 and select Dispatch to confirm your trip request.

To ensure you have the most current information, it is best to verify your pick-up time window on the day of your trip.


How Do I Cancel a Trip Request?

To cancel trip(s):

  1. Call 537-7777 and select the ACROBAT option
  2. You will be asked for your registration number and your four (4) digit password. Use your telephone keypad to enter these numbers.
  3. At the prompt, press #1 to cancel your trip and follow the instructions.
  4. If you need help, press #0 and your call will be transferred to a service representative.

Please be courteous and cancel your trip requests at least 2 hours prior to your trip. This will allow other customers the opportunity to take trips that otherwise may not be accommodated.

When canceling a trip request you will need to provide:

  • Your name and Access Calgary registration number,

  • Date and time of the trip request(s) you wish to cancel, including the time(s) for the return trip(s).

  • If canceling a Subscription trip request, indicate the date you want your service to resume.

When you cancel a trip, the request for your return trip is automatically cancelled. If you need to cancel only a portion of your trip, please indicate this clearly during your call.

If you do not cancel your trip request, your trip is considered Cancelled at the Door or No Show (see Glossary). This is very costly to the system and these trips cannot be provided to another customer (see Cancellation Policy).

When calling at peak times to cancel a future trip, it is advisable to use ACROBAT by calling 537-7777 and selecting option #1
